AssemblyAI is a category-leading Speech AI platform that enables developers and enterprises to transcribe, analyze, and extract insights from voice data at scale. Its APIs power conversational intelligence, voice agents, and AI-driven workflows across a rapidly evolving AI landscape.

As the first product marketer, I owned Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, and Developer Relations, bringing positioning, go-to-market execution, adoption, and developer engagement under a single, integrated strategy. My focus was on translating deeply technical AI models and developer-first capabilities into clear, credible value for buyers, users, and go-to-market teams.

I partnered closely with Product, Sales, Growth, and Research teams to sharpen ICP focus, align GTM execution, and concentrate effort in high-intent conversational intelligence categories, which contributed to 2× revenue growth and ~70% close rates in priority conversational intelligence segments

My leadership spanned:

  • Product Positioning & Messaging Architecture — defining and evolving how AssemblyAI was positioned in a crowded AI/voice market, clarifying what mattered, who it was for, and why it won.
  • Integrated GTM Execution — aligning product launches, sales enablement, demand narratives, and customer-facing messaging around a single, coherent point of view.
  • Sales Enablement & Training — partnering with Sales to develop use-case framing, competitive narratives, and training that materially improved close rates in targeted bullseye segments.
  • Customer Marketing & DevRel Strategy — connecting adoption, lifecycle messaging, and developer education to reinforce value post-sale and support long-term platform usage.
  • Systems & Foundations — building scalable PMM foundations including personas, segmentation, competitive insight, and use-case frameworks that strengthened adoption and supported growth.
